Not long ago, I heard the audio of  Helen Paul doing a stand-up comedy. In the audio I heard her imitate a little girl’s voice. After I listened to it, I looked up videos of her.

Helen Paul is a Nigerian comedienne who started doing stand-up comedies when she was an undergraduate In the University of Lagos.

She is really awesome! Neither have I heard nor seen an African woman as a comedienne. What I’m most fascinated  about how she cracks up jokes. There are a lot of nigerian comedians such as A Dot, Don’t Jealous Me(based in the U.K.) and Basketmouth. They have come very far.

It’s time that Helen Paul should get more recognition for her work in the comedian industry because she is outstanding and a talented woman. Not only does she have her own style but she also enjoys what she does!

If she is ever going to perform in London, I would gladly  go there to see her perform. There are not a lot of videos of her on the internet but I hope there will be more to come!
