Today was a special  and remarkable day for The Netherlands as the former prince, Willem-Alexander, became the new king.

After 33 years of reign by his mother, Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard van Oranje-Nassau, she handed over her duties to her son.

I watched the inauguration live on tv. Many prominent people such as princes and princesses from various countries like England, Japan, Monaco and Sweden were present. In addition, the prime minister, ministers and other politicians were present. During the speech of King Willem-Alexander, he praised his mother for all that she has done during her reign.As King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima arrived, I was so marveled at their attire. Queen Maxima wore a blue dress designed by  Jan Taminiau.
