Suga Suga is a 2021 Nigerian romantic comedy film written by Priscilla Okpara and directed by Richard Omos Iboyi. G-Worldwide Entertainment produced the movie. The film executive producer was Festus Ehimare. Also, it was produced by Louiza Williams. She is the manager of Nigerian artiste Kizz Daniel.

The film stars Taiwo Obileye, Ayo Adesanya, Tana Adelana, Priscilla Okpara and Wole Ojo played the lead roles in the movie.

Suga Suga was screened at the Nollywood Film Festival Germany 2023, which took place at the movie theater FilmForum Höchst in Frankfurt, Germany on Friday 28 July, 2023.

The film is based on the wealthy billionaire Dr. Durojaiye (Role played by Taiwo Obileye) who lusts after young women while his nuclear family members are angry with him due that behaviour. On the other hand, a young intelligent man decides to work as a maid at the mansion of the billionaire after failing to get a decent job as a driver. He disguised himself as a woman in order to work for the family.

In all honesty, it is a funny movie with lessons to learn from. The movie made the audience laugh at the event. 

What actually shocked the audience and myself was that the billionaire’s wife Ireti (Role played by Ayo Adesanya), didn’t allow her husband Dr. Durojaiye to touch her for ten years because he cheated on her with another woman. This also surprised her children. I don’t condone cheating but because of her refusal to forgive her husband and not letting him touch her for so long, he continued to allow himself to be more tempted to lust after other women in order to fulfil his sexual needs. Ireti was also wrong for not allowing her husband to touch her for so many years. There is no point to be bitter about an issue for so such a longtime because bitterness doesn’t solve issues.

After ten years of not allowing her husband to touch her, she separated from him and lived in another house with her son Aaron (Role played by Wole Ojo). 

Dr. Durojaiye went after April (Role played by Tana Adelana), who was Aaron’s woman. What actually triggered Dr. Durojaiye to get his wife and family back was when Ireti told him in April’s house that April was in a relationship with Aaron. Neither did April know that Aaron was the son of Dr. Durojaiye nor was the latter aware that April was Aaron’s woman. Ireti caught her estranged husband on his knees wearing a singlet and trousers when she went to April’s house and saw them together. Aaron’s mother became furious when she saw Dr. Durojaiye in such a state. Prior to that, he wanted to sleep with April but she didn’t give in because of Aaron. Ireti went to see April to attempt to convince her to get back with Aaron after she caught him cheating on her with another woman in his mother’s house.

Eventually, Ireti forgave Dr. Durojaiye and reunited with him. Moreover, his whole nuclear family was reunited. Eventually, Aaron got back with April and they got engaged.

The lessons to learn from this movie are:
– Forgive others for wrongdoings towards you;
– Being bitter about a matter for a longtime isn’t good for your health;
– Let go of bitterness and move on with your life. Live a happy, fulfilled and enjoyable life!
