Kamsi is streaming on Prime Video

The award-winning movie Kamsi is streaming on Prime Video. It was produced and directed by Nigerian filmmaker Uzodinma Okpechi. It commenced streaming on 27 October, 2023.

On their daily commute, a widower, Dozie and his little girl Kamsi, fall victim of a violent gun battle.
A stray bullet hits Kamsi and puts her life in jeopardy. In the face of overwhelming odds, Dozie finds out how crazy a father can be, when the life of his only child is in danger.

The movie Kamsi was shot Jos, Plateau State in Nigeria. Uzodinma Okpechi directed the movie.
The main casts were Wole Ojo, Sam Dede, Timini Egbuson, Kiki Omeili, Ben Lugo Touitou and Bimbo Ademoye.

Uzodinma Okpechi is a filmmaker and has 25 years of experience in filmmaking, creating music videos, documentaries and TV productions. He started off as a music video director. Uzodinma attended had attended a MasterClass in Film Production at the Colorado Film School in Denver, U.S.A. in March 2014. 

Kamsi has emerged among the Top 10 movies on Prime Video Nigeria in week 3.

The movie has won several awards this year and are stated below:

  • Eko International Film Festival, Lagos, 2023 – Best Feature Film, Nigeria, Overall Best Feature Film & Best Actor

  • The African Film Festival, Dallas, 2023 – Best Director
  • African Cultural & Film Festival, Houston, 2023 – Best Director, Best Editor & Best Actor.
