Highlife singer and chief Kaakyire Kwame Appiah had a horrendous car accident in Nkawkaw on Tuesday 9 January 2024. 3 passengers, including a brother of his, also survived the accident.

In a phone call that I had with Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, he said that he was the one driving. Moreover, there was water on the road. Surprisingly, the car slipped and somersaulted six times. He drove 50 km per hour.

All 4 individuals went to the Holy Family Catholic Hospital and they are in good conditions. X-ray examinations were done and there were no fractures.

Kaakyire Kwame Appiah was enstooled the Benkumhene of Bosomtwe Asaman in the Ashanti Region on Monday 20 September, 2021. He has been crowned as Nana Adieaemuyeduru Trimude Kaakyire Kwame Appiah I.

Digitaries including political figures, musicians and filmmakers graced the ceremony.

The singer said further that a pastor who is called S.K., spoke to him on the phone to inform him that he had a vision prior to the incident that it was announced on a Ghanaian radio and TV station that the singer who sang ‘Bronya’ had a fatal accident. The car accident happened 10 minutes after the phone conversation between Kaakyire Kwame Appiah and the pastor. The latter made it known unto him that he wanted to reach out to to him. Nevertheless, he interceded on his behalf through prayers.

Another pastor told Kaakyire Kwame Appiah either in October or in November 2023 that he shouldn’t go anywhere from 1 January to 9 January, 2024. After the incident, the singer remembered what the pastor told him.
