Mario Lopez has welcomed a baby boy. The “Extra” and “X Factor” host had a late night on Monday as his wife, Courtney Mazza, delivered their son, Dominic Lopez, in Los Angeles. And the 39-year-old gave his followers the play-by-play of his thrilling evening. He posted the picture on Sept. 9. The excitement started at about 9 p.m. when the “Saved by the Bell” alum posted, “Whoa… Cutting it close. Just wrapped @TheXFactorUSA & I’m rushing to the hospital. Baby Lopez #2 is coming tonight! Baby better wait for me.”

He then shared photo of a very calm looking Mazza ? with whom he has a daughter, Gia, who will be 3 this week ? all scrubbed in and ready in the delivery room.

“It’s game time,” he wrote. “Waiting for the Dr… @CourtneyMLopez & I are ready to go! Is it a boy or a girl???”

While waiting things out, Lopez distracted himself with football (the San Diego Chargers disappointed him), but at just after 11:30 his son was born.

“It’s a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” he tweeted. Please welcome Dominic Lopez to the world! Couldn’t be happier… @CourtneyMLopez & baby are doing just fine… :)”

Just reading his tweets of anticipation exhausted us, but not Lopez. By 1 a.m. he was out celebrating. “I am in heaven right now…. And in a bar,” the new dad shared in his final tweet of the night, tagging it #CelebratingDominicLopez.
