CEO of SparkZuta Models and Advertising Agency, Spark Julius Zeta had an interview with FashionGHANA.com regarding the discrimination against dark-skinned girls for the Roll It music video by Akon, Wizkid and Banky W.
He was responsible for the calling in of models. Julius Spark Zeta admitted that mixed race girls were preferred over dark-skinned girls for the music video. It was the casting director that only wanted mixed race girls. However, his identity couldn’t be disclosed by Spark Julius Zeta.
According to the CEO, people mostly demand light-skinned girls for videoclips in Ghana. For fashion shows, there is no preference.
