Kumasi is expected to be rocked on Friday, January 1 by Ghana’s finest high life musician, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, aka Daddy Lumba, as he is billed to perform in a live concert at the Miklin Hotel.

The concert, according to the organisers, is being organised to pay homage to the highlife music legend who has churned out good hits on the Ghanaian music scene for the past three decades.
Artistes billed to perform alongside Daddy Lumba are expected to perform their various hit songs currently making waves on the music scene.

The artistes billed to rock the stage with Lumba are Daasebre Dwamena, Nero X, K.K Fosu, Shatta Rako, among others.

The show is being organised not only to entertain music but to celebrate the highlife Lumba’s achievement in the Ghanaian music industry.

The event will bring together families, friends of Lumba and music fans in Kumasi and its environs.

Rehearsals have already started and if what is being experienced at the rehearsal ground is anything to go by, then music lovers should get ready to be treated to exciting, rich Ghanaian music.

A member of Daddy Lumba’s management team, Roman Fada, who is also the host of Atinka FM’s mid-morning show, told BEATWAVES that Daddy Lumba would give his fans a surprise package and an extraordinary performance as their New Year package.

He will perform most of his favourite hit songs such as ‘Woho Kyere’, ‘Aben Woha’, ‘Yentie Obiaa’, ‘Awoso’, ‘Nyame Nhyira Mmaa’, ‘Ebi Se Eye Aduro’, ‘Aben Wo Ha’, ‘Adepa Hye Adepa’, ‘Poison’, ‘Ofie Banbofo’, ‘Mato Odo Mu’, ‘Bubra’, ‘Tokrom’, ‘Asee Ho’ and a host of others.

With 25 albums under his belt, Daddy Lumba’s albums have over the years yielded more number one and top 10 hits than any other Ghanaian musician of our time.
