He attended St. David Pry School and Dolphin High School in Nigeria. He is specialized in portraiture, Abstract and Landscape art.

He explained in an e-mail how his journey started in art. “The journey started when my dad discovered I could draw, so he enrolled me into one skill center. I started going there, learning  every single day and kept watching tutorials to improve my skills. It took me 3 years. The more I paint, the more I improve. Then a friend introduced me to Instagram. I started seeing a lot of great artist’s works. I followed their progress and practiced on my own. Then I decided to go public and turn this talent to something I could live off. So I decided to paint Nigerian celebrities to gain publicity and to divert people’s attention to my work which was successful. My first celebrity painting was that of Jawon Oba Orin.”

Ojay met his manager Femi Badmos through a friend and then they became friends. According to Ojay, he hired him due to his good socializing skills and the zeal that he has to help him step up his art business.

The people he looks up to in the art industry are Kelvin Okafor,  Jack Ede and Oubash.

When I asked him via e-mail what his plans are concerning art, he replied: “Basically, business has been good, God has been smiling at me. There are a lot of things I’m planning (I will have my own gallery soon). 2017 is gonna be a great year”.

Furthermore, I asked him what his advice is to people that want to enter the art industry. He replied, “The kind of advice I will give to people that want to go into the art business is to put God first. Then be focused, hardworking, humble and patient. With these things, one will be successful.”
