Singing in English does not guarantee you a hit – ChoirMaster

One of Ghana’s biggest musical sensation ChoirMaster has rebuked the influx of English songs by Ghanaian artistes saying “singing in English does not guarantee you a hit.”

During an exclusive interview with Lennon Kweku Guy Guy (Celebrity Base Tv) ChoirMaster added “no disrespect to other acts who prefer English but of late you hear most of the style been adopted by talents who sound too foreign and that’s very bad.”

The former PRAYE group member also mentioned that Angelique Kidjo and Femi Kuti went ahead to win BET and GRAMMY Awards with their Afrocentric style of singing thus urged Ghanaian artistes to be stick to their roots.

“Let’s be proud of where we are coming from and focus on our own kind of music.
