According to UTV Ghana, His Excellency the president-elect Nana Dankwah Akufo-Addo attended a thanksgiving service at the Accra Ridge Church on 11 December, 2016, with his wife Rebecca Akufo-Addo and some dignitaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to thank God for winning the Ghana elections on Friday 9 December, 2016. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen and I.C. Quaye were present as well. He told the congregation to keep him in their prayers.
