Football administrator, Abbey Pobi has called on the Ghana Football Association to summon Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan to ascertain whether the reports of his allege rape case is true.

Gyan, 30, is alleged to have raped a 22-year-old university student, Sarah Kwabla and sodomised her in her apartment.

The Al Ain striker did accept of having a consensual sex with the girl in February early this, but has denied raping her.

And Abbey Pobi, chairman of Kumasi-based club Cornerstone, says Gyan should be stripped off the Ghana captaincy if he is found guilty.

“For now, the FA can only treat the reports as rumours. The have many twist and turns the reports and the FA can only get involved at the right time,” Pobi told Joy FM.

“We are the FA treat things internally; so before something can be done, the GFA will have to summon Asamoah Gyan to it’s ethics committee and find out what we are hearing in the media is true.

“If he is found guilty of such act, he should be stripped off the post.
