King Promise born Gregory Promise Bortey Newman is a creative talent in all aspects: he sings and also a good songwriter.

The singer formerly known as Boy Pee has made his mark in the music industry with songs such as ‘So Special’ and ‘No Problem’.

The soulful young singer has finally released his highly anticipated single, ‘Thank God’ featuring Fuse ODG.

“Killbeatz and I were just vibing in the studio. It started off as a love song and he came up with the brilliant idea of “Thank God” so we switched it up and wrote to it. Killbeatz went on vacation in Miami and was bumping it. He was with Fuse by then. Fuse heard it and loved it and the rest they say is history”, he said.

Born to Christian parents, Mr. Francis Newman, a businessman and Angela Quaye, a trader. The 23-years-old chap attended De Kings Academy for his childhood education and headed to Nungua Senior High School. His dad played a huge role for his love for music as he grew up listening to his dad play all genres of music.

His upcoming album features a perfection combination of hip-hop, gospel, soul, house and R&B, a mix that complements King Promise’s unique voice.

His fine looks and powerful voice has so far put in a class of his own as he collaborated with Scientific, J-Town, Adina, Pappy Kojo, Fuse ODG, and so many more big names.

King Promise is already featured on Killbeatz yet to be released debut album which he teased his worldwide fans with the ‘Borkor Borkor’ single some weeks ago.

For now his ‘Thank God’ song with Fuse ODG is phenomenal and notable one that leaves him in a promising position for 2016 and beyond.

King Promise is signed to YB Records owned by Yasmin Behzadi and managed by Gervin Ohene Addo who handles music business for Fuse ODG, R2Bees, Killbeatz, Wizkid and more.
