The 26-year-old Dancehall artiste Kaakie had an exclusive interview on Total Showbiz on Wed 9 August, 2017. There have been reports that she left the record label Extra Large Music and she confirmed this on Tuesday 8 August, 2017 on Okay FM. She worked with them for six years. 

Kaakie disclosed that she doesn’t own the over 20 songs she recorded at Extra Large Music. Another shocking revelation is that she can only perform them after 10 years. It is unknown whether the contract will be revisited with a lawyer to change that.

“Samini came to the studio to record ‘Papistic’. That like the remix of ‘Ewo’. I wasn’t even around. I hadn’t even met him”, she said.

“The first time I met Samini was when we were recording ‘Too Much'”, she added.

Samini, Lingua Cat and some other persons wrote songs for her.

Kaakie has a boyfriend who is living overseas. Apart from her music career, she also works as a nurse at two hospitals in Accra. One of them is the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
