In order to effectively reach out to more stakeholders around Africa, whose categories will form a significant part of the 6th prestigious HiPipo Music Awards plus to also give ample time for the activation of the project brand new #HallofFame theme, HiPipo announces an adjustment to the awards schedule. The venue for the grand finale – Kampala Serena Hotel remains unchanged. Below is the new project schedule:

• 15 October – 15 November: Nominations Gathering (Completed)
• 20-22 December: Nominees announcement
• 5 January 2018 to 16 March 2018: Voting Period
• 17 March 2018: Awards Gala Event.

While announcing the program adjustment, Innocent Kawooya, CEO HiPipo noted that “The 6th edition of HiPipo Music Awards comes with a broad theme ‘The Hall of Fame’ and with a strategic plan to propel the project across Africa. The two need some extra weeks of activation to effectively be delivered. After lengthy deliberations, we agreed to adjust the program accordingly.”

He added: “On the 17th of March 2018, expect top notch production, star studded performances and glamourous red carpet at the Kampala Serena Hotel.”

The gala event will have standard tickets selling at UGX 200,000 [with 50 percent discount for early birds, purchased before 1 March], VIP Tables at UGX 5 Million, and Corporate Tables at UGX 6 Million.
