Oteng Yeboah Prince, popularly known as Amankwah Trump, is one of the youngest actors in the Ghanaian movie industry. He was born in Bekwai Dadiasi in the Amansie District in the Ashanti region of Ghana. He attended St. Elizabeth International School in Kumasi. Currently, he is a 2nd year student of Armed Forces Senior High School, which is also based in Kumasi.
The Ghanaian serie Oboy Shaky and Amankwah The School Boy skits brought him into the limelight. Miracle Films produced the former and REEL Jaguar Films produced the latter. When he attended junior high school, he was approached by a lot of people in the movie industry to act but he couldn’t start with his acting career yet. After he graduated from St. Elizabeth International School, he embarked on his acting career and first worked with Miracle Films. The first movie he acted in was Inspector Lilwin which was shot three years ago. Oboy Shaky was also shot three years ago. It is my favourite Ghanaian serie. If you are a fan, watch out for new episodes. Film director Phillip Pratt is the man behind Amankwah The School Boy, who is based in Accra and that is where the skits are also shot. So far, there are 45 episodes of Amankwah The School Boy. Not only does he have Ghanaians fans but also fans from Nigeria, Somalia and even The Gambia.
He acted in the a new movie titled ‘Nansins’ and it is directed by Phillip Pratt. It is about a couple who stayed together and the woman could not give birth to children. Therefore, they adopted Amankwah Trump and they thought he was a child. Moreover, the couple was facing challenges. They had a houseboy who was running errands for them and gave them solutions to their problems. SDK, Richard Amoako and Xandy kamel are among those who starred in the movie. It will be premiered on Saturday 27 July at Global Cinema in Weija, Accra. A ticket costs 30 Ghana cedis.
