Osei Kwaku Vincent did a cover of Sarkodie’s ‘Odo’, which was released on Youtube on 27 June, 2019 but it was taken down in less than 24 hours on copyright grounds.
It has been reported that Merlin Ditto Limited, an online music distribution company, issued the strike.
In an interview that I had with Strongman, he disclosed that he had an issue with the fact that people made it look as if Sarkodie removed his verse from the original ‘Odo’ song, in which he featured the late Ebony. “I decided to do my part just for people to know that we are not fighting and that is why Akwaboah came in to also do a hook”, he explained. He has no problem with the song being taken down. He further said that he knew that it would happen hence not to have put it on iTunes due to copyright.
